Slide the hotbar highlight to the chosen slot, also across the wraparound

Scrolling past the last quick slot should land on the first one, but a naive glide rushes backwards across the whole bar. Here is how the highlight takes the short way, keeps its momentum when you scroll again mid-move, and still ends on the right slot.

Why this works

A row that wraps around is really a circle, and on a circle the short way is the one that counts. Aiming for the nearest copy of the chosen slot, and keeping the speed when the choice changes, means quick scrolling needs no waiting line.

When not to use it

Skip it when the bar does not wrap, or when selecting should be instant, such as in a fast shooter where a slide would delay the shot. Jump the highlight straight to the slot there, and keep the glide for slow, calm games.
