Lower the old tool, swap at the bottom and raise the new one, even when scrolling fast

Switching the held axe or torch looks wrong if the new item pops in at once or if every scroll click replays the whole animation. Here is a swap that changes at the right instant, turns around cleanly when you switch back, and never queues up.

Why this works

The eye forgives a swap it cannot see. Hiding the change at the lowest point, and always continuing from where the hand is now, lets any number of quick choices end in a single motion toward the last one, with nothing left waiting.

When not to use it

Skip it when swapping must cost nothing, such as in a fast action game where every moment counts, or for items with nothing to see in the hand. Swap at once and show the change with a sound or a flash.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Lower the old tool, swap at the bottom and raise the new one, even when scrolling fast" (read_entry held-item-swap-lower-switch-raise) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
