Spielerando

Fill a hold-to-use ring that unwinds when released and triggers only once

Opening a chest or bandaging a wound by holding a key is easy until the player keeps holding, looks at something else mid-fill, or taps repeatedly. Here is how the ring behaves in each case so the action happens exactly once and never by accident.

Why this works

A hold asks the player to commit, so letting go must feel like changing your mind, and a success must count only once. Locking after the action until the key is lifted separates one decision from the next, however long the key stays down.

When not to use it

Skip it for actions that are common, cheap or urgent, such as picking up a coin or opening a door in a chase. A wait there is only a nuisance; use a single press and let undo or a cost guard against mistakes.
