Is the "decider" role in a rotating story really shared fairly?
When the right to decide moves around the group, equal numbers of turns are not fair if people were not all there for every decision. This entry shows how to work out how many turns each person should have had, and how far from that they ended up.
Why this works
Fair does not mean equal counts. It means each person gets turns in proportion to the decisions they were there for. Adding up each person's chance at every decision gives the number of turns that should have been theirs.
When not to use it
Skip it when the role is meant to go to the best-suited person, such as the one who knows the map, or when the group is happy with a leader. Then equal turns would be the unfair choice; ask the group.
