Two players walk through a story trigger together and it is logged twice
When a team crosses the same line at the same moment, the log can hold the same story event twice, and your counts of how many groups saw it go wrong. This entry shows how to merge these repeats without also swallowing a real replay of the scene later.
Why this works
Two people crossing a line together is one story event seen by two, not two events. Measuring from the first one you kept stops a stream of near repeats from chaining together and hiding a real replay that comes later.
When not to use it
Do not merge when each firing carries its own meaning, such as each player claiming their own reward from the same spot. Then two events are right. Merge only what is the same moment seen twice, and count players separately.
