A big group picked one ending: does that make it the popular ending?
Counting every player makes big teams count more than pairs and solo players, and one lively party can swing the whole picture. This entry shows how to count the same choices once per player and once per group, and why you want both side by side before deciding which story path is popular.
Why this works
Teammates who talk before choosing are closer to one voice than several. Counting both ways shows whether a big, lively group is bending the picture, and only when the two rankings agree can you trust a claim of popularity.
When not to use it
Do not weigh by group when the choice is personal, such as a character's own line, where each person really decides alone. Then count every player once. If the groups differ a lot in size, say so in your report.
