How often does this attack hit players, if a few players try it hundreds of times?
A pooled hit rate is ruled by whoever fights the most, usually the players who struggle. This entry shows how to count every player equally so the number says what a typical person experiences.
Why this works
A few players stuck on one attack can throw hundreds of tries and drown out everyone else. Taking each player's own rate first, then averaging, shows what a typical person experiences rather than what the most stuck person does.
When not to use it
Not suited when you only care about how a struggling player fares, such as when designing help for them. Then look at the stuck players on their own rather than at the average.
