Spielerando

When players are almost dead, do they find healing in time or die first?

Health that exists in the level but is out of reach when it is needed does not help. This entry shows how to find the near-death moments in a health log and measure how they end, without counting flickering around the limit twice.

Why this works

A low-health moment is only a problem if the player cannot get out of it. Marking the start and end with two different levels stops one hovering moment from counting as many, and shows whether healing sits where fights end.

When not to use it

Not useful in games where health refills on its own, or where being near death is meant to end the run. Look at how often players reach that edge and why, not at how they get out.
