Spielerando

My save file is huge because it stores the whole world, not just my changes

Each save takes seconds and every explored area makes the file bigger, even though most of it was never touched. This entry gives your AI a way to find what really changed and keep only that, so loading stays quick.

Why this works

A world made from a seed can be rebuilt for free. Only what the player changed is new information, so storing the differences keeps the file small and keeps the world open to later improvements.

When not to use it

Do not use it when the generator is slow or will change often; then store full areas, or old saves will not rebuild the same terrain.

In the full entry

  • What to build, step by step
  • Starting values and the reason for each
  • 3 common mistakes and the fix
  • 39 lines of example code with 3 checks that pass
  • How your AI shows you that it works

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "My save file is huge because it stores the whole world, not just my changes" (read_entry survival-save-only-what-players-changed) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
