The time of day suddenly jumps back or forward and I cannot see when
Players report that night comes twice or the sun jumps at noon. Your AI keeps adjusting the speed of the day without finding the cause. This entry reads a record of the clock and points to the exact moments where it left its path.
Why this works
A steady clock has one rule: new time equals old time plus speed times elapsed seconds, wrapped around at the day's end. Any sample that breaks the rule marks a loading, pausing or editing event.
When not to use it
Do not use it if the day deliberately skips, for example when the player sleeps. Record those skips as events and exclude them, or every sleep looks like a bug.
