A line greets the player by name, but on one route the name was never asked
Stories remember things like a name, a gift or a promise, and later lines use them. If one road to that line skips the moment where the thing was set, the text shows a hole. This entry checks every road, not just the one you tested.
Why this works
Testing one way through a story only shows that one way works. What a line may rely on is only what is true on every road that can lead to it, so the check must follow all roads and keep what they all agree on.
When not to use it
Overkill for a straight story with no branches, or when every value is filled in at the very start. And it does not replace a fallback line: if a name can be skipped on purpose, write text that still reads well without it.
