Spielerando

How many groups leave before the ending scene, and do they leave on purpose?

After a hard final fight, many players leave before the ending plays. A raw count of leavers mixes people who decided to go with people whose connection failed. This entry shows how to separate them and how to spot a screen that players click away without looking.

Why this works

Leaving by choice and being cut off are different events, and mixing them blames the ending for the network. Even among real leavers, someone gone within a blink never saw the scene, so that tells you about the button, not the story.

When not to use it

Do not read it as a verdict on the ending when your players are tired after a hard final fight and leaving is simply the natural end. Then ask a short question afterwards, or offer to view the ending later.
