Count what players chose in my story when they can rewind and choose again
When players can step back and choose differently, every try is recorded, and your picture of what people choose turns into a pile of changed minds. This entry shows which choices to count as real and why a step back can cancel more than the last answer.
Why this works
What a player finally committed to is what counts, so going back must wipe the choices they will be asked again. Counting the standing choices instead of every click shows the story they really chose, and how often they went back shows regret.
When not to use it
Wrong when you want the first instinct: the pick made before going back says which answer tempts players most. Then count first picks and the rewinds separately from the final story.
