Find the choice after which a player can no longer reach another ending
Players who feel locked into a bad ending often quit instead of replaying, and they usually blame the last choice. The real turning point is often much earlier. This entry shows how to find it from the paths players took, so you know which choice to warn about.
Why this works
A choice matters when it closes the other endings. Comparing runs that began the same way shows the moment after which all of them end alike, so you find it from what actually happened, not from your memory of the story.
When not to use it
Wrong when endings depend on hidden luck, or when you have few runs behind each path. For a small story, trace the branches by hand on paper and play each path yourself before trusting counts.
