Do players pile up materials they never use?
A few players with huge piles can make a resource look abundant for everyone, or make a missing use look like a missing resource. This entry shows how to read stockpiles over play time so one overflowing chest does not mislead you.
Why this works
If what players take in keeps outrunning what they spend, the pile of a typical player grows with every hour. The middle player shows that trend honestly, while a few collectors with enormous piles would make everything look hoarded.
When not to use it
Skip it when the pile is meant to grow, such as a rare trophy or a building material saved for one big project. Judge those by whether players finally spend it, not by how large the pile is.
