Spielerando

What do players leave on the ground because their bag is full?

A bag that is too small turns exciting finds into annoyance, but counting rejected pickups gives a wrong picture. This entry shows how to measure the value that is really lost, item by item.

Why this works

Players try again, take half a pile or come back later, so a refusal is not a loss. What counts is what stayed on the ground in the end, weighted by what it was worth, which counting refusals cannot show.

When not to use it

Skip it when players can drop things freely or loot is plentiful and cheap, since leaving some behind is then a normal choice. Look at whether they feel forced to throw valuable things away.
