How much hunting can the wildlife take before the animals are gone for good?

Hunters can empty a region, and a small dip can become a point of no return. This entry shows how to find the hunting level the animals can sustain and the population below which they cannot recover.

Why this works

Animals regrow fastest at middling numbers and barely at all when few remain. So there is a yearly catch the herd can bear forever, and a low number below which even that catch wipes it out.

When not to use it

Skip it when animals wander in from outside, are placed by the game, or have no real regrowth, as in a purely decorative zoo. Then simple spawn rules do the job, and a regrowth curve only adds false precision.
