All my animals end up in one corner of the map
After a while the forest is empty and a crowd stands at the edge of the world. Your AI will tune the wandering. This entry counts where the creatures really are, shows how much of the map is used and tells you if the edge is the culprit.
Why this works
A crowd at the edge is usually a position that is clamped, not a wandering that is too weak. Counting positions by square and at the border tells these apart in one pass.
When not to use it
Skip it for creatures that are meant to gather, such as herds or nests. Count the herd as one and check only the loners.
