Spielerando

Two players are left, nobody can hurt the other, and the match never ends

Some matches reach a point where no one can ever change the result, yet the game waits forever. This entry gives your AI a check on who can still hurt whom, so it can end the match, or knows to keep waiting while something is still being built.

Why this works

A match is only dead when no unit can hurt any enemy unit and no one can still make a new one. Checking pairs of players, not the total, also catches the one-sided case where only one side can attack.

When not to use it

Skip it for games with a time limit or a score win, where the match ends anyway. Add the rule only when the end depends on destroying the other side.

In the full entry

  • What to build, step by step
  • Starting values and the reason for each
  • 3 common mistakes and the fix
  • 22 lines of example code with 4 checks that pass
  • How your AI shows you that it works

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Two players are left, nobody can hurt the other, and the match never ends" (read_entry strategy-match-never-ends-nobody-can-win) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
