My generated map has start spots that are cut off or much poorer than others
A random map can look fine and still trap a player behind a wall or leave them with half the resources. This entry gives your AI a map check that walks outward from every start and tells you if they connect and how close the riches are.
Why this works
Fairness is about reach, not distance on a ruler: walls make a close resource far. Counting what each start can reach within the same number of steps puts everyone on one scale.
When not to use it
Skip it for maps that are meant to be uneven, such as a scenario with a weak side. Then compare against the intended ratio rather than aiming for equal.

Say this to your AI
Use the Spielerando entry "My generated map has start spots that are cut off or much poorer than others" (read_entry strategy-map-start-spots-unfair) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
