Spielerando

How many players come back for the next episode, when the newest ones still have time?

After an episode ends, some players come back within days, some later, and some never. If you count everyone who has not returned yet as lost, a fresh release always looks like a failure. This entry shows how to count only those whose waiting time is really over.

Why this works

A player whose waiting time is not over yet has not said no. Leaving those still within the window out of the rate, and reporting how many there are, stops the newest episode from looking like a flop merely because it is new.

When not to use it

Wrong when episodes come out at no fixed rhythm, or when you have few players: the window is then a guess. Set the window near the usual gap between releases, and ask a few players why they did not come back.
