Which hidden diary pages does nobody find? Count only players who entered the room
Story games hide notes, letters and photos that explain the plot. If a note is found by one player in a hundred it may simply be in a room that few people reach. This entry shows how to measure how well hidden each item is, apart from how popular its room is.
Why this works
How many found an item depends on how many even reached its room. Dividing by the visitors tells whether the item is hidden too well or lies in plain sight, and rooms few people reach speak about the route, not the item.
When not to use it
Wrong as the only test for items the story needs: every player must find those, so add signposts rather than aiming for a middling rate. Also useless in rooms few players reach.
