Are my story endings reached as often as I planned, or does one swallow the rest?

If nearly everyone lands in the same ending, the writing for the others is wasted and players may feel their choices do not matter. This entry shows how to check the spread of endings against what you intended, and how to avoid calling a small difference a problem.

Why this works

Too many players got ending A can be luck or design. A plan with the shares you intended, plus a test of whether the gap is larger than chance, tells the two apart and keeps you from fixing mere noise.

When not to use it

Wrong with few finished runs, since the test needs enough of them per ending, and when endings depend on what players want rather than on shares you planned. Read the paths to each ending by hand instead.
