Three players with the same aura skill make the whole group unbeatable
A skill that strengthens everyone nearby is wonderful until a group of three players all pick it and the bonus triples. Banning the skill in groups spoils choices. Here is a rule where different auras add up, the same aura counts once, and the total stays under a ceiling.
Why this works
Variety is what a group bonus should reward, not copies. Keeping the strongest of each kind lets the same skill serve as a backup, while different kinds still add up, and a ceiling guards against the day many kinds exist.
When not to use it
Skip it in a game where building a team around one skill is the fun, such as a horde that all share the same banner. Then stacking is the design and a ceiling alone will keep it in check.
