My images are small files, yet the game runs out of memory on older phones

The download is tiny and the game still crashes while loading. A picture takes far more room once the phone has opened it than it does as a file. This entry adds up what your pictures really cost and names the ones that eat the budget.

Why this works

The phone stores every pixel of an opened picture, whatever the file looked like. Multiplying out the pixel count shows the real cost, so oversized pictures can be found before a player does.

When not to use it

Skip it for text-only games or games with a handful of small icons, where the total is always far below any limit.
