The big scare plays again every time the player loads the game

A scare works once. If it repeats after every load, or after every death at the same spot, it turns into a joke. Here is how your AI should remember which scares were seen, and why one list is not enough to treat a retry and a fresh start fairly.

Why this works

A scare is a surprise, and a surprise can only be spent once per person. But a retry is not a new person: the player knows it is coming. So the game must remember two things, what happened in this run and what this player has ever seen.

When not to use it

Skip it when the repeat is the point, such as a scripted loop, a dream that returns on purpose, or a game that is short enough to be played once. There, play the scare the same way every time and keep the design simple.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "The big scare plays again every time the player loads the game" (read_entry scare-plays-again-on-every-load) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
