How many players actually talk to the characters I placed along the road?
A character that few players talk to may be dull, hidden, or placed where nobody walks. This entry shows how to count only the players who came close enough to have the chance.
Why this works
A rate is only fair among those who had the chance. Counting only players who stood close enough separates a dull character from a place nobody walks to, two problems with different cures.
When not to use it
Not worth it for characters everyone must talk to for the story, or when so few players get there that one person swings the rate. Watch a few players walk past, or ask them what they noticed.
