Make a craft button on a phone work once when the finger lands twice
On a touchscreen a nervous tap often arrives twice, and a slow connection makes the game send the same request again. The player pays for two crafts and gets two, or pays twice and gets one. This entry tells a repeated tap from a repeated message, so each gets the right answer.
Why this works
A nervous double tap and a repeated message look alike but mean different things. A tap is a new wish, and a very quick second one is almost always a slip. A repeated message is the same wish arriving again, and it deserves the first answer, not a second craft.
When not to use it
Do not guard buttons that are meant to fire fast, such as hold-to-repeat or a rhythm tap, where a short wait would feel broken. Also skip it for actions that cost nothing and can be undone; then a second tap does no harm.
