Refund a cancelled craft fairly, including paid coins, and never twice

A player starts a craft and changes their mind. Taking nothing back is harsh, giving everything back lets them park materials for free, and a refund that can be triggered twice by a double tap is a money printer. This entry returns materials in proportion, treats paid coins more kindly, and pays out exactly once.

Why this works

Cancelling is a change of mind, not a mistake to punish, but time already spent is really gone. So what was only waiting comes back whole, what was in progress comes back in proportion, and paid currency gets extra mercy. Closing the job in the same step stops a second tap paying twice.

When not to use it

Do not offer a refund for jobs that were meant as a commitment, such as a ranked event entry or a limited offer bought for real money. There, say clearly before the start that it cannot be taken back.
