Spielerando

Leaders near a unit should not stack their bonuses into an unbeatable blob

A leader gives nearby soldiers a bonus that grows with the leader's level. Put five leaders in one spot and the bonus is five times as large, so the best play is to pile them up. This entry gives a rule where the best leader counts fully, helpers count a little, and the edge of the circle is decided the same way every time.

Why this works

If every helper adds fully, the best strategy is always to pile helpers into one spot, which flattens the map. Letting only the strongest count in full keeps one great leader worth more than a crowd, and a small share still rewards a real second.

When not to use it

Skip it when stacking is the fun itself, such as a game about building ever bigger combos, or when only one leader can ever be near. Let the bonuses add up there, with a ceiling you can see.
