Find missions on the campaign map that no player can ever unlock
A campaign map where missions unlock after others looks fine on paper, then one mission needs a mission that needs it back, or names a mission that was renamed. The player is stuck and the game never says why. This entry shows how to unlock with "all of" and "any of" rules and how to list the dead ends before anyone plays.
Why this works
A locked door is only a promise that a key exists somewhere. You can test that promise before anyone plays by pretending to win everything possible, round after round, until nothing new opens. Whatever is still shut can never be reached.
When not to use it
Skip it when the map is tiny and fully in a designer's head, or when missions open through things the map cannot see, such as a purchase, a date or a secret found in play. Test those paths by actually playing them.
