The next era needs a mix of buildings, and one building must not fill two slots
To enter a new age the player must own, say, three kinds of buildings, each slot accepting a few alternatives. Counting each slot on its own lets one building tick two boxes, and the player enters the age while missing something. This entry shows how to match buildings to slots correctly and why the age, once won, is never lost again.
Why this works
A requirement like three different things means three separate, matching pairs, and one object can only stand in one place. Giving up a choice early can block a later slot, so the check must be willing to rearrange. A reached era is a fact earned, not a state to recompute.
When not to use it
Skip it when the requirement is simply a total, such as a number of buildings of any kind, or when each slot accepts exactly one fixed kind. Plain counting is then enough and easier for players to follow.
