A shared story choice ends in a tie, or one silent player blocks everyone

When a group of players decides together which way the story goes, someone does not answer, two are for one option and two for another, or someone leaves in the middle. This entry gives a clear rule for every one of those cases.

Why this works

A group decision has to end, give the same answer on every screen, and feel fair to the loser. Settling ties with a neutral roll that everyone can replay, and letting silence not block anyone, covers all three.

When not to use it

Wrong when the choice carries real weight for one person, such as a decision about someone's own character, or when you want the group to talk and agree. Then let the owner decide, or ask for a unanimous result.
