Respawn waves that make some players wait ten seconds and others none
Everyone comes back together at fixed moments. That is great for teamwork, until someone falls half a second before a wave and spawns into the same fight they just lost. This entry shows a rule that stays fair at both extremes.
Why this works
Coming back together makes a defeat cost something real and gives the winners a short window of advantage, while everybody still returns on a clock they can see. A fixed rhythm is easier to learn and to plan around than a personal wait.
When not to use it
Wrong for fast, forgiving games where waiting is the only thing that makes people quit, such as a party brawl. Let them return almost at once, or after a short personal timer, and keep the action going.
