Choose each character's closing fate and find rules that can never win
At the end, every companion gets a fate that depends on what happened. Written as a list of rules, some of them are quietly hidden behind earlier ones and never show, while some situations match nothing at all. Here is the selection and a check that tries every combination.
Why this works
When the first matching rule wins, order is part of the meaning, and a broad rule placed too early silently hides a precise one. Trying every combination of what could have happened shows which endings never appear and which cases get none.
When not to use it
Wrong when there are very many flags, because the number of cases explodes. Split the fate into two smaller decisions, or when an ending is handwritten for each hero, just read them through yourself.
