My boss is supposed to have three phases but sometimes skips one
A boss that changes at certain health levels can jump straight over a phase when one big hit crosses two of them, and a typo in the list can make a phase unreachable. This helper checks the list and tells you which phase is at risk and which one applies at any health.
Why this works
A phase is a stretch of health between two thresholds. If that stretch is smaller than the biggest hit the hero can deal, one blow can cross it. Checking the width of every stretch against the hit size catches that on paper.
When not to use it
If skipping a phase is fine, because a phase only plays an intro or a change of music, no check is needed. Phases that matter for the story or the fight need it.
