Spielerando

My AI keeps trying the same fix for the same crash and gets nowhere

After a few rounds an AI can circle: the same failure again and again, or one fix that brings back an older failure and a second that brings back the first. This helper notices the loop in your error messages so you can change the approach in time.

Why this works

Error messages repeat in two shapes, a straight line of the same message or a back and forth between two. Reducing each message to its pattern, without line numbers, lets those shapes show even when the numbers differ.

When not to use it

Early rounds often repeat an error while the AI is still gathering facts. Do not stop it before the third round, and treat a changed message as progress, even if it is a new error.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "My AI keeps trying the same fix for the same crash and gets nowhere" (read_entry work-act-ai-repeats-the-same-failed-fix) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
