Spielerando

Detect an upgrade that costs more than the storage can ever hold

The button says "not enough wood", the player waits for hours, and the wood never reaches the price because the store is full below it. Nothing in the game explains this. This entry shows how to tell apart ready, still waiting and impossible until the store grows, with a time estimate for the middle case and one clear message for the last.

Why this works

Waiting only makes sense when waiting can end. A cost above the room to keep it is a different problem from a cost not yet saved, and the player needs a different answer to each: wait, or fix the cause. Saying which one it is saves hours of confusion.

When not to use it

Skip it when the store is practically unlimited or the game never lets a price exceed it, for example when prices are set from the store size. Then the extra message is clutter. Keep the plain waiting time.
