Unlocked endings and gallery pictures vanish when a save is deleted or moved
Players collect endings and pictures over many playthroughs, then delete a save, or play on a second device, and their collection is gone or only half there. Here is where such progress belongs, and the rule for putting two collections together without losing or doubling anything.
Why this works
Things belong with whoever owns them. A playthrough belongs to one run, but the collection belongs to the player and outlives every run. Keep them apart, and combine copies in a way that can only add, so nothing earned is lost or counted twice.
When not to use it
Do not keep a shared collection when each save is meant to be its own world, such as a hard mode where a fresh start must really be fresh, or a game where players trade saves. Then store the unlocks inside each save.
