Which caves and ruins do players walk right past without going in?
Counting visits to a landmark hides how many players saw it and chose to ignore it. This entry shows how to measure the pull of each place against the number of players who actually came close.
Why this works
A place can only be called ignored by people who actually saw it. Counting everyone who came close, including the stretch between two position records, gives the real share who chose to walk on, so a hidden place is not confused with an unloved one.
When not to use it
Do not use it for places that are meant to be hard to reach or dangerous on purpose. Few visits there are by design, so judge them by whether players who got there found the reward.
