Spielerando

Do players ever find the mechanic that you built for them?

A feature nobody uses can be a bad feature or one nobody knows about, and the numbers look the same. This entry shows how to count only the players who really had the chance to use it, and how long they waited.

Why this works

Low use has two very different causes: the feature is bad, or nobody found it. Only players who could have used it and had enough time to try can tell you which, so everyone else must be left out of the count.

When not to use it

Skip it when the feature is deliberately a secret, or when you have very few players so far. Then watch a handful of people play and ask them, which shows more than a tiny count.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "Do players ever find the mechanic that you built for them?" (read_entry survival-feature-players-never-discovered) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
