Let a storm front sweep over the regions without skipping any
A storm that moves across the land should hit every region on its way, but a game that looks at the weather once a day lets a fast storm jump clean over a small valley. Here is the way to ask which regions were really under the storm during a day.
Why this works
A fast thing can step over a small thing between two looks. Asking what the storm covered during the whole day, not where it stood at one moment, makes sure that every region on its path is really hit.
When not to use it
Skip it when the weather is only a mood and no rule depends on it, or when storms are drawn by hand and follow a fixed script. Then pick the days yourself; this is for storms that move by speed and can cross the map on their own.
