Two players grab the same item in the same moment and both get it
On each screen the player was first, so each one walks away with the treasure, and later the game quietly repairs it by taking one back. This entry shows how one single winner is decided, fairly, and what the loser sees.
Why this works
Each screen only knows its own side of the story, so both will say yes. Only one place can decide, and it must decide once, by a rule everyone can predict. Everybody else then simply learns the result and undoes their guess.
When not to use it
Not needed when an item exists once per player, or when a game is single-player or turn-based and nobody can reach for it at the same time. If duplicates are harmless or even fun, such as copied coins, just allow both.
