Spielerando

One player ignores the match-found screen and everyone else loses their place

A match is found, but one player never presses accept. If everybody has to queue again from the back, the people who did everything right are punished. This entry shows who gets a penalty and who keeps their turn.

Why this works

Fairness means each person bears the result of their own choice. Whoever did their part keeps their place in line, and whoever stayed away pays, because punishing the whole group would teach everyone that being ready is a risk.

When not to use it

Skip it when waiting is short and the pool is small, or for friends who queue together and sort things out themselves. A penalty can be unfair if the cause is a broken connection, so give a first lapse a warning instead of a punishment.
