Spielerando

My villager vanishes at night because their schedule crosses midnight

A daily plan that says sleep from late evening until early morning looks fine on paper and leaves the character nowhere in the game. Your AI can check the plan for gaps and doubled hours, and say where a character stands at any time of day.

Why this works

A time window that wraps past the end of the day cannot be tested with a simple from-to comparison. Marking every minute of the day with where the character should be exposes gaps and overlaps in one pass.

When not to use it

If characters follow the sun or the weather rather than the clock, a minute table is the wrong tool; use events that start and end each stay instead.

Say this to your AI

Use the Spielerando entry "My villager vanishes at night because their schedule crosses midnight" (read_entry rpg-villager-gone-after-midnight) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.
