Who goes first in my battles changes between runs when two characters are equally fast
Two characters with the same speed swap places from one fight to the next, or from one computer to another, and replays no longer match. Your AI can pin the order down with a clear tie rule and tell you which characters tie so you can decide what is fair.
Why this works
Sorting by one number says nothing about equal numbers, so the result depends on how the list happened to be arranged. A second and third rule, chosen by you, make the order a fact instead of an accident.
When not to use it
If ties are meant to be random, draw the tiebreak from a seeded random value passed in and store it in the save; do not leave it to the sort.
