My AI left unfinished notes in the story text and I found one in a finished scene
Placeholders like to survive in the corners of a long adventure: a note to write something later, a row of question marks, a word where a name should be. Your AI can scan all the texts for such leftovers and tell you the line and place of each.
Why this works
Leftovers are only found when someone looks at every line, which nobody does. A scan with a fixed list of markers, matched as whole words, is cheap and has few false alarms, so it can run before every release.
When not to use it
The scan only knows its list of markers. It will not find a sentence that was written badly or left in a draft voice. Reading the scenes aloud remains the test for those.
