Which skills does nobody pick, and which one does everybody pick?

A skill nobody takes is wasted work, and one that everybody takes makes the choice fake. But a deep skill is picked less simply because fewer players got that far. This entry shows how to compare skills fairly so you only fix the ones that are really off.

Why this works

A fair choice is judged against its neighbours, not against the whole player base. Many players never reach a late skill, so only the picks made among the same options say whether one is ignored or chosen by everybody.

When not to use it

Skip it when a skill is meant to be a rare, expensive reward for experts, or when only a handful of players have chosen so far. The numbers jump around too much. Wait for more play, or read what testers say.
