A random scare went wrong once, and I cannot make it happen again
If every run rolls fresh dice, a bug seen once is gone for good. This entry shows how to roll the dice from a seed, so a bad run can be repeated exactly, and how to search for a seed that produces the strange situation you want to test.
Why this works
Chance in a game is not magic, only numbers that came out in some order. If they come from a starting number you can write down, the same start gives the same run, and a once-seen problem becomes one you can call up again.
When not to use it
It will not bring back a problem caused by timing, the player's device or the order of their clicks, since the dice are not the cause. And a saved start number stops working once the game's rolls change.
