Let players undo a craft without letting them re-roll the luck
Undo is a kindness in a puzzle, but if a craft has a chance of a bonus, undoing and trying again is a slot machine with a free handle. Taking the undo away is unkind. This entry lets players go back as often as they like and makes the same step always end the same way.
Why this works
Undo is only a loophole if luck is drawn from something that keeps moving forward. When the roll depends only on the level and the position in the sequence, going back and repeating the move asks the same question and gets the same answer, so there is nothing to gain.
When not to use it
Skip it when each attempt is meant to be a fresh gamble, such as a loot game where the thrill is the new roll. There, remove undo for lucky actions instead, or make it cost something real.
